Swan Supermoon side table

The graceful curves of this side table resemble – unintentionally – the elegant elongated neck of a swan rising from her body floating gently in a pond. The evening when the table top fabrication was completed, Matt Flynn walked out of the workshop to see a full moon, bulging close to the earth, low on the horizon. Astronomical supermoons, occurring throughout the year when the lunar orbit comes closest to the earth, are named after animals. Fittingly, this swan earned her name from the night she rose to meet the completed moon above her.
