Prelude's Echo

Prelude's Echo

Designed after Sojourner Symphony, being a simpler composition of interlocking, looping curves, Prelude was intended to be built first in order to test the fabrication process; a “prelude” before tackling the more challenging movement. Starting as a single printed curve, the form developed a similarity to the musical treble clef symbol; the same symbol written at the beginning – the prelude – of a musical score. Flipped around the Y-axis, Prelude’s Echo is the mirror opposite of Prelude. These are standalone sculptures.
