Habitat for Humanity/ Thrivent Builds Worldwide trip to Tela, Honduras
Unlike previous trips, the work here was at a community of fourteen houses, already built and nearly complete. The team's efforts during this final week of work involved painting the facades with vibrant colors, planting small gardens, grading the front yards, and surviving the humidity.
Being present at the tail end of the house-building process allowed us to watch the ribbon-cutting celebration and give house keys to the new homeowners.
