After moving to California and working in Los Angeles for several years as a project architect, project manager, and site superintendent on high-end modern residences such as John Lautner's Garcia House, in 2006 Matt Flynn had a mid-life crisis.

Yep, 28 years old.

After promptly crashing his sporty red convertible, quitting his job, and leaving his apartment, he walked off the continent to scuba dive in the South Pacific.

Returning with sunbleached hair months later, he started his own design firm for art and architecture projects, working on five continents with artists and art galleries including James Turrell, Peter Wegner, Richard Long, and others.

Flynn A&D provides services from conceptual design studies and presentation renderings through architectural documents and construction assistance. The goal is to work on creative, unique projects, whether the designs are in-house or helping someone pull off their own quirky, wild ideas.

That is, until the next mid-life crisis hits.
